Cross Country
Cross Country is a comedy that blends the frantic travel of Little Miss Sunshine and the quirky romance of Juno. When a desperate screenwriter is finally invited to meet with a producer, he hitches a U-Haul to his Volvo and drags his life from Connecticut to Hollywood. At a gas station, a punk girl threatens to accuse him of kidnapping unless he helps her escape her homicidal boyfriend.
When the girl turns out to be a sixteen-year-old runaway, he's suddenly the focus of a nationwide manhunt. It takes every ounce of his limited courage to evade the cops, a vigilante cameraman, and the girl's homicidal boyfriend. Will he survive long enough to get to the Hollywood producer? And if he does, will they even let him in the building?
I am the lead writer for Cross Country.
The Shield of Athena
The Shield of Athena, a Pirates-of-the-Caribbean on the Aegean, pits demigods against dorm-rats in a modern mythological race on the high seas. On Spring Break in the Greek Isles, college revelers stumble upon the Shield of Athena: the severed head of Medusa disguised as a large coin. Medusa's legendary sisters, the Gorgons, will stop at nothing to retrieve it. To make things worse, our heroes are hunted by the coin's protectors, a massive flock of harpies: half hag, half vulture, and all nasty.
Our heroes sail for their lives and search desperately for answers. What is this hideous coin? Who are their relentless pursuers? And what mysterious secret haunts the Greek twins that are sailing with them? The least motivated of them all, a seven-year-senior slacker, rises to the occasion to face the monsters like the heroes of legend.
